Accounting/Human Resources Specialist


Our fast-growing raw pet food company is seeking an enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and very detail oriented person to join our accounting/administrative team!


Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:


  • Reconciling weekly inventory
  • Accounts Payable
  • Production paperwork processing and data entry
  • Bill processing
  • GL account reconciliation
  • Process sales commissions
  • Bank statement reconciliation
  • Journal entries and adjustments
  • Month-end journal entries
  • Filled invoice data entry
  • Payroll processing
  • Expense report reconciliation
  • Phones and customer service
  • Human Resources: on-boarding new employees, payroll, keeping up to date with tax laws, update company handbook and policies
  • Review and process worker’s comp claims
  • Manage employee personal data, benefits, compensation, etc.


Skills and specifics for this position:


  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Degree in accounting preferred
  • HR certification preferred
  • 2+ years of HR experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong proficiency in Quickbooks
  • Payroll processing experience
  • Understanding of accounting theory
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
  • Access/database experience a plus
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong communications skills and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well with others, in all aspects of our company
  • Discretion with confidential information is paramount


This is a full-time position.
